Hosted by Greenbank Parish Church together with Morningside and Fairmilehead Parish Churches, we are delighted to present An Evening with James Naughtie: Insights into American Politics.

A Morningside resident, James Naughtie is one of Britain’s best-known broadcasters and a Special Correspondent for BBC News. He presented the Today programme on BBC Radio 4 for 21 years and covered every US presidential election from 1988 to 2012. Throughout his distinguished career, he has reported from around the world, written and presented numerous documentaries, and authored several books on politics, including On the Road, an account of his travels and reporting in the United States. He is also the author of three acclaimed espionage novels, the latest being The Spy Across the Water.

Join us as James draws on decades of reporting from the United States to share his insights into American politics, explain the forces shaping public life today and take questions from the audience.

The evening will conclude with refreshments and an opportunity to continue the conversation informally.
